Garlic Time
It seems like the years just fly by. Each year I say that I will plan better and have everything ready for the garden but something just always gets in the way. So, thank goodness for the email I receive from Burpees. It’s time to order your Garlic for planting. Lots of dinner recipes need Garlic and personally I like to plant them in a pot. They tend to overtake my garden if I don’t control them. Now, I use Burpees for plants I can’t get locally (ie: healthy for our climate) but you can actually buy a Garlic bulb at the grocery store and break it up to plant each individual clove.

Recycle, Reuse and Renew
One of the problems an Extreme Couponer will find sometimes is SPACE. I live in a 100 yr old house that has very little space. So, I have to stack, pack and re-organize all the time. Also you have to find very good deals on tubs to store everything in. I have bought a container or two but hate spending so much on them. So, when I found a kitty litter deal for a friend I asked her to let me have the tubs when she was done with them. They are made to hold up to 35lbs of litter so I figure putting less than 10 lbs of shave cream and razors in one would be a no brainer on a way to save space and not have to buy a tub.
You can also use the tubs for garden tools, old cloths (they seal tight) or just about what ever you are having trouble finding a place for.

Summer Tomatoes
As everyone can see my tomatoes are starting to come in. The plant out front is loaded with little guys. The plant in the back has bunches of flowers but no vegies yet. Can’t wait to pick my first tomato.
